Customer Care & Distribution Centre
The engine room! Where we make it all happen, receiving, picking and packing for all our channels in the warehouse, and helping our customers in our call centre.
Our Story
White Stuff started life in 1985. Our ski-loving founders, George and Sean, had the idea of selling T-shirts to fund their stays in the French Alps (the "white stuff" is snow, in case you were wondering). Six years later, they opened a shop in Battersea, South London -- the first of more than a hundred across the UK and Germany. White Stuff style has evolved over the years but the ethos behind it has stayed consistent.
Meet the Recruitment team
Chances are if you apply for a job with us, you are going to be in touch with one of us.
Inclusive Hiring Practices
The 'Independent Spirit' of our brand runs through everything that we do, and that includes our recruitment process. We want to ensure that anyone who wants to become a part of our team has a fair shot at applying. Here are some of the things we do to make that a reality:
- Anonymous CV screening. Our lovely recruitment software (Team Tailor - big shout out!) has the functionality to blank out names and other personal data, so that whoever is reviewing the application shouldn't be able to determine the gender, ethnicity or age of the person applying. This helps to prevent unconscious bias in the screening process.
- All our hiring managers (and indeed all Head Office staff) have to complete annual training on Inclusivity at White Stuff and unconscious bias training (within a recruitment module).
- We offer candidates the opportunity to flag if they need any adjustments as part of the interview process.
- For Head Office roles we are often able to conduct much of the hiring process remotely via MS Teams.
However, all of the above might not be quite relevant to you, so if you do have any specific needs, please don't hesitate to let us know.
We are on a journey to making White Stuff a more inclusive workplace for all, and we are proud to confirm that we have partnered with the following organisations.
