Social Content Creator
Who we are:
White Stuff was established in 1985 through a simple idea. This idea grew and now we have shops and concessions in the UK and internationally, selling women’s and men’s clothing as well as beautiful accessories and homeware. Our original prints (all designed in house), intricate details and considered design touches reflect our personality and make us subtly distinctive.
Our people are at the heart of our brand, constantly moving and driving us forward. We’re sociable, talented and like-minded and we’re not hierarchical or political in how we do business. We encourage entrepreneurial ideas and accountability at all levels.
Who you are:
You are a Social Media Content Creator with exceptional taste: someone genuinely embedded in fashion and community culture, with sharp cultural instinct, original ideas, and a point of view on what makes content feel elevated rather than just on-trend. You have strong creative judgement, know a good idea when you see one, and aren't afraid to pitch it before you're asked. You spot cultural moments worth reacting to, and find the angle that makes product and lifestyle content feel sharper than the category norm.
You'll work closely with the Social Media Coordinator, who owns reporting, planning, and scheduling, while you bring the ideas, taste, and execution that make the content actually land.
Primary objective of the job:
To originate and produce exceptional social-first content for White Stuff, bringing sharp cultural instinct, original ideas and creative taste to elevate how our product, brand and community are seen across social platforms. Acting as a creative partner to the senior designer and campaign art director and the wider marketing team, the role is responsible for shaping ideas from concept through to execution, not just delivering on a brief, and for bringing our positioning as champions of the independent spirit to life through real people and real community moments.
Ideas & Creative Direction
Develop original, social-first content series and recurring formats that build a distinct identity for the brand, not one-off posts
Bring fresh, unbriefed ideas to campaigns, pitching concepts rather than waiting for direction
Spot and act on cultural moments and conversations worth reacting to, with the judgement to know what's a fit and what isn't
Drive the elevation of how product and lifestyle content looks and feels, pushing taste and craft, not just output
Act as a creative partner to our senior designer and campaign art director, as well as the wider marketing team, shaping ideas from concept through execution
Champion real people and real community stories in content, in line with our positioning as champions of the independent spirit
Contribute ideas that support the wider brand ambition to become the UK's most influential lifestyle brand, connecting social content to marketing campaigns and content pillars
Content Production
Film videos, shoot photos, and put together graphics tailored to each platform's format and best practices
Bring products to life through storytelling: styling, campaign concepts, and content that makes people want the piece, not just see it
Keep all content on-brand, adhering to brand and campaign guidelines, tone, and visual aesthetics across every post
Edit content using CapCut, Premiere Pro, and AI-assisted tools where they speed up or elevate the work, knowing when AI helps
Write captions, hooks, and scripts in a voice that matches the brand and the platform
Trend & Cultural Relevance
Track sounds, formats, and cultural conversations across fashion and community spaces, translating them into ideas that feel authentic to the brand
Maintain a sharp read on what's genuinely relevant versus what's just noise
Collaboration
Partner closely with the Social Media Coordinator on calendar and scheduling, and with the wider marketing/brand team on campaigns and launches
Coordinate with or direct talent/UGC creators for shoots when needed
Performance
Review performance metrics (views, saves, shares, engagement, sentiment) and use them to sharpen future ideas, not just repeat what worked
What you’ll need:
Skills & Experience
1-3 years of experience creating social content professionally, in-house, agency, or as a creator/freelancer with a strong portfolio
A portfolio that shows original ideas and strong creative judgement, not just polished execution
Genuine, deep immersion in fashion and community culture: someone who can speak to why something is relevant, not just that it's trending
Strong taste and an ability to elevate a brief rather than execute it literally
Full technical proficiency across CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop), including editing, pacing, sound design, captions, and transitions
Working knowledge of graphic design, able to produce simple on-brand graphics
Comfortable using AI tools as part of the creative process, with the judgement to know where they add value and where they don't
Confident filming solo, with videography/photography, lighting, and framing skills
Strong communication skills and comfortable appearing on camera if needed
Fast turnaround mentality without sacrificing quality or taste
Experience with After Effects
Experience directing or casting talent/UGC creators for shoots
A recognisable personal point of view, whether through your own content, following, or creative work
