Who you are:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with strong technical expertise in BI tools and data management. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive team player, they should thrive in a collaborative environment, continually seeking innovative ways to improve processes and align BI solutions with business goals. Primary objective of the job:
The objective of the Business Intelligence Analyst role is to empower the organization with accurate, reliable, and actionable data insights that drive strategic decision-making. By developing and optimizing dashboards, reports, and data processes, this role aims to enhance data literacy across teams, ensure data integrity, and support the achievement of key business objectives through innovative BI solutions
What you’ll be doing:
Data Analysis and Reporting
• Ensuring data quality and implementing best practices for database management.
• Troubleshooting data-related issues and providing technical support to stakeholders.
• Create new reports and dashboards, as well as optimise existing reports
• Design and deliver impactful dashboards to transform data usage across the business
Training and Development
• Conduct training sessions to educate staff on BI tools, dashboards, and data interpretation.
• Create comprehensive user guides and documentation for BI tools and systems.
• Organize workshops and ongoing learning sessions to improve data literacy across teams.
• Develop training programs tailored to varying levels of user expertise.
• To document and conduct training sessions & support on all things BI
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Liaise with senior management to align BI initiatives with strategic objectives.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and system performance.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders for effective communication.
Data Governance and Quality
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting systems.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
• Perform regular audits to identify and address data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
System Development and Maintenance
• Identify areas for improvement in existing BI tools and processes and propose solutions.
• Lead the development and testing of new BI solutions and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to BI tools and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new BI technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
What you’ll need:
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation.
• Experience in designing dashboards and visualizations that drive business insights.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, including data quality and integrity management.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and define data requirements.
• Familiarity with database systems and data integration processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot BI tools and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication skills, including training and documentation for diverse audiences.
• A proactive and innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
