Primary objective of the job:

Working directly for the Site Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the stock accuracy, space management/planning and temporary labour planning for the whole Distribution Centre and all its work streams

This role is accountable for a small team of stock counters, but also requires the overseeing of data accuracy around stock movements, space dimension planning and reporting

The role will be a member of the site management team, and requires close collaboration with fellow peers in the DC and Head Office

This is a newly created role, which requires a high amount of analytical detail, great abilities to work cross functionally with a high requirement of collaboration

What you’ll be doing:

· Responsible for the accurate forward planning and execution of space mapping and planning for the whole distribution centre

· Ensure the DC operates at its optimum efficiency using space planning logic

· Support ongoing continual improvement benefits, identifying new and improved ways of working

· Ensure the DC stock management is in line with auditing expectations, and provide reporting to support

· Liase with key members of the Head Office team, from Merch to Finance , monitoring stock write off values, and supporting channel stock availabilities

· Responsible for the accurate and efficient labour planning within the whole site, working with our temp labour providers to book and plan accurately around stock demand while keeping within cost expectations

· Ensure that any space exposures or constraints are identified in advance, and communicated proactively

· Ensure that stock handling and reporting is in line with HMRC and Bonded expectations, and be a site Ambassador for stock processes

· Report daily on the site performance from a space availability point of view to the whole business

· Investigate causes of lost, damaged, over, and short shipments, adjustments where necessary

· Participate in weekly meetings with the temporary agency labour provider, contributing to continual improvement opportunities

What you’ll need:

Have extensive experience of working within a Logistics and Warehousing environment

IOSH qualification essential, NEEBOSH qualification desired

• Have experience on cost control and labour planning

• Experience of managing cycle counting, monthly and year-end inventory processes

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with logistics, operations and warehouse management

• Must have excellent and applied knowledge of WMS based systems and processes

• Experience of Microsoft NAV advantageous

• Must have excellent and applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) reports; dashboards; look-ups; pivot tables;

• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
